 Position Summary:

 Work for an uncapped commission structure by working as a consultant to earn supplemental income if you are familiar with or belong to the water and wastewater industry. Help boost your community’s economy by helping water and water agencies find the right operations personnel. Aqua Staffing offers contract, contract to hire and permanent staffing solutions to the water and wastewater industry.

 Primary Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Use your existing network to find water and wastewater industry professionals that may be retired from the public and private agencies and still desire to work part-time or full time.
  • Identify qualified candidates by developing and implementing various, creative recruiting tactics.
  • Conduct candidate screening (to include interviews, reference checks, skills verification, etc.) Conduct job specific interviews present and sell opportunity to candidate; evaluate and assess candidate’s qualifications; and make hiring recommendations to clients based on who is the perfect fit.
  • Identify and generate new business through outside sales activities such as cold calls, prospecting, telemarketing, territory planning and relationship building within the water and wastewater industry.
  • Sourcing data of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, the Internet and other sources. Perform appropriate prospecting and screening activities to identify qualified clients for new business development.
  • Use consultative sales strategy to effectively overcome client objections and maximize sales activity within assigned territory.
  • Establish and maintain good public relations and networking within the community to develop new business. Collaborate with appropriate internal resources to develop comprehensive sales presentation materials. Make formal sales presentations and follow-up calls to prospective new business accounts.
  • Effectively selling our services persuasively, persistently and confidently to key client decision makers while reaching desired profit levels consistent with established business goals.
  • Implementing pay/bill structure to ensure a proper gross profit level.
  • Preparing reports of business transactions and maintaining expense accounts.
  • Submitting weekly sales reports detailing the week’s activity, results and plans for the following week.


  •  Experience in the Water and/or Wastewater Industry or Degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent related experience
  • California Water or Wastewater Certification a Plus
  • Must be honest, self-motivated, sales minded, professional, and organized and a natural business developer.
  • Some level of Human resource or hiring experience
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with an understanding of Human Resources / Relations principals.
  • Demonstrated effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
